New updates for 2010-2011! I tentatively expect to attend:
- January 14-17, 2011— Arisia (Cambridge, MA)
- February 18-20, 2011— Boskone (Boston, MA)
- July 14-17, 2011— Readercon (Burlington, MA), a convention for booklovers, less emphasis on other media
I may be adding others. At the conventions I'll be participating in programming such as panels, autograph sessions, and whatever else the programming committees ask me to do. Please stop by and say hello!
Teaching
New teaching events 2010-2011!
- Ultimate SF Writing Workshop (Fall 2010), the ten-week workshop I co-lead with Craig Shaw Gardner, begins its fifth season on October 3, 2010. Visit our workshop page for complete information. Register early for best chance of getting a place!
- Advanced Ultimate SF Writing Workshop (Spring 2011) — No firm date yet, but we hope to run our fourth advanced workshop, registration limited to graduates of our basic workshop or equivalent experience.
- Next Level Advanced Workshop (???) — This is still in the planning stages, and will be a focused, retreat-style workshop for graduates hoping to complete novels or long stories that are already well developed.
- MIT SF Writing course — Joe Haldeman will be back to take over his class in 2010. But I had such a great time working with last year's students in Joe's absence that I can't bring myself to take this down. (Sentimental fool!)
